App and website developers in Oxfordshire

We are a two-person software company based near Bicester. We build apps, websites and business systems for small businesses across Oxfordshire, and further afield.

Local, and easy to talk to

Mettux is James Watt, a software engineer, and Marine Metz, a practising equine vet. When you work with us you talk to the two people who will build your app or website, not an account manager. We are happy to meet in person around Oxfordshire and to see how your work is done today.

Where we work

Oxford, Bicester, Banbury, Witney, Abingdon, Didcot, Kidlington, Thame, Wallingford, Woodstock and the villages in between, and neighbouring Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Northamptonshire. We also work with businesses across the UK and abroad by video call; one of our apps is used by visitors to a game reserve in Kenya.

What we do

  • App development: apps for phones and tablets that keep working offline.
  • Website design: fast, accessible websites and online shops.
  • Business systems: bookings, rotas, records and invoicing for a whole team.
  • Cheaper hosting: moving your website and email to free or low-cost hosting, without losing anything.

Who we work with

Small businesses of all kinds. So far that has included a scientific instrument maker, a children's author, a coaching company, livery yards, vets and an equine physiotherapist. We are at home with rural and outdoor businesses too: Marine works in them every day and knows where software has to cope with mud, cold hands and no signal.

Questions people ask

No. We are based in Oxfordshire and like working locally, but most of the work can be done by video call, and we have clients across the UK and in Kenya.

Yes. The first conversation is free, in person around Oxfordshire or by video call, whichever suits you.

It depends on the size of the job, so we quote after a first conversation. You get a written scope with a fixed price, and the running costs, before you commit.
