An engineer, a vet and a dog called Tux
Mettux is a two-person software company in Oxfordshire. One of us writes the software. The other spends her days on the yards it is written for.

Product and engineering
James designs and builds everything Mettux makes, from the first sketch to the version running on your phone, and looks after it once it is live.
He cares most about software that is simple to use on a bad day: cold hands, no signal, ten minutes between jobs.
Marine Metz
Equine vet and co-founder
Marine is a practising equine vet. She knows how yards, clinics and clubs run day to day, and what the people in them will and won't put up with.
She shapes what we build, tests it against a real working day, and is often the first person our equestrian clients speak to.
Where the name comes from
Mettux is Metz, Marine's surname, joined to Tux, our dog. Tux also happens to be the name of the Linux penguin, which suits a company that writes software.
That is Tux in our logo, bow tie included.
How we like to work
Small and honest
We build the smallest thing that does the job, and say so when something is a prototype.
Private by default
We collect as little as the job needs and keep it where you can see it. This site sets no cookies.
Tested where it is used
On the yard, in the van and out of signal, before we call it finished.
